Swathi (Gopika) is a landlord's daughter(Suman). Their family is a happy one. She leaves the family to stay in the nearby city where she goes to study. Chakri (Vijaya Samrat) is the son of an industrialist (Bhanuchander). Chakri considers life to be a challenge. He participates in bike races and always emerges victorious. Since Chakri is also quite handsome, several girls are after him but he is disinterested in all of them.
Swathi falls in love with him at first sight. She approaches her feelings for him gradually and she gets him to respond to her advances which she eventually shoots down. This makes Chakri confused as to whether she is interested in him or not.
He, for the first time, is helpless and doesn't know of a solution not knowing himself what love means. This makes him want to learn what love is all about. So he kidnaps Swathi demands that she love him. She tells him that she is truly in love with Chakri and not with him. Finally Rishi understands that love has to come from within one's heart and that it cannot be forced. He reunites Chakri and Swathi in the end.
Plus Points
There are absolutely no plus points in the film except the good performance and glamour of Gopika. She is very glamorous and doesn't go overboard resorting to any kind of exposure. Rishi is okay as a goon. He shows good ease in action scenes. Samrat, though handsome, has failed to show any kind of performance qualities either in dances or in action scenes.
Once, the heroine reaches city, the family disappears in thin air. Once again, the college and its lecturers were portrayed in bad taste and a lecturer was shown as a buffoon - a man with negative thoughts thinking about a girl and that love is but mere imagination and leaving her without harming is beyond his thoughts.
Conclusion:
Director Ravisharma had a very good concept about love that he wanted to portray in the film. His mistake is not understanding what a screenplay is and what is direction is before going to sets. Just getting a script ready and starting to direct it is not the way to make the film. All aspects of the films should be taken into consideration – especially the importance of characters in the film. Just involving stars in the cast won't make the film successful. The film's music by SA Rajkumar is just plain ordinary and not intune with todays young generation.
